You have stumbled upon the blog of a MLIS student at UWO’s FIMS, and it is my hope that you will enjoy your time here. I hope to use this blog as a space to share ideas with others in the LIS world, and to learn from discussion. I’m currently most involved with and interested in academic libraries, so this is where most of my focus will be directed.

I have been described, I think accurately, as “not in the least distracted by the need to say those things which follow the lines of conventional wisdom on a subject.”*

I like people. I ideas. I like learning, both theoretical and practical. I aim to be readable and engaging.

Welcome. I hope you stay awhile.

*This from a thoughtful professor from my undergraduate degree in sociology whom I think very highly of. As you can imagine, it is among the compliments that I am most proud to have received.
